A Family Opens the Door

Anh opened Viet Alley on North Lamar to share the Vietnamese food they grew up loving — named for the lively alleyways where the best meals happen without ceremony.

Hours Behind Every Bowl

The phở broth starts before the restaurant opens — slow-simmered with bones, aromatics, and whole spices until the clarity and depth are exactly right. No shortcuts, no powder.

Vietnam, Region by Region

From Saigon-style phở to lemongrass-fired Bún Bò Huế and flame-grilled vermicelli bowls — every dish carries its regional identity, finished with house-made nước chấm.

The Neighborhood's Late-Night Bowl

Open until 10 PM most nights — one of the few Austin spots where a proper bowl of phở is still waiting for you after dark.
